Bag Cover

Here is another quick idea to make any plain bag much more interesting. The candy I put inside the bag does not match the theme on the outside but I just needed something to fill it up so that you could see the finished look and that was all I had at home, but you get the idea. The word ENJOY was stamped (from SU!) My friend Char sent me the bags (Thanks my friend!) ;O) and I made the cover using the Scor Pal. (this cover is not my original idea, I've seen similar covers on the net but I did not use an specific tutorial)

Enjoy!

Here's my Birthday Boy!

Taggart's Grill
Back of the Restaurant

... and Daddy & Mommy took him to Taggart's (one of his favorite restaurants) courtesy of grandpa and grandma. The place is beautiful as you can see, the owners are Awesome! and the food is so good! They make the best pita bread I've ever tasted! so if you ever come to visit Morgan Utah, do not forget to stop by there, it is hard to miss, this town is tiny. I will be back later to post a small project I made, for now...

Enjoy!

It's all about the Presentation...

Good morning!

I am so happy...my son is 10 years old today!!!! Happy Birthday Austin! his birthdays are always so emotional for me because he is not able to understand nor enjoy many of the things we take for granted with other kids, my son has Autism. But I am so GRATEFUL because God chose me to be his mommy and I do not deserve such an amazing blessing. Thanks for letting me share this with you all...

So... yes, it is all about the presentation, I don't care what you give, things always look so much better and are such a pleasure to receive when they are presented in a way that says "I care" and that means taking the time to wrap them nicely, here is an example, I have been making cards to give to friends and family and I like to put them in a nice cello bag but I wanted to do a little more and I found an idea similar to this one but could not remember where, so I took my FAVORITE CRAFTING TOOL (Thanks Char!!) the Scor pal and just measured around the bag and made a cover for the bag, then of course added some ribbon and done! I think anyone would love to receive a personalized set of cards like this one.

No Time To Play!

So here once again are a couple of pictures of journals I made in the past. Hope you are having a great week, it is pretty warm here and although this past winter was long all I can think about is fall and all the crafting projects I want to try. But for now...

Enjoy!

Mini Pad Portfolio

-Here is a quick and simple way to make any small pad look more interesting and you can make it look so much better... but as usual I am in a big hurry and there are so many interruptions before completing a project, I am sure anyone with kids can relate to that! I had printed the instructions to make this portfolio a long time ago and decided to try it, it is so simple, I guess the hardest part is to decide how to decorate the front. I hope to make a better job next time but it was still so much fun!

Another Journal

Here is another journal I made last year, and I used a regular composition book for this one. Pretty amazing the things you can make with designer paper and a few embellishments... I had quite a few requests for using vintage photos of ladies so I started searching for some and this "lady" was a favorite, this journal sold on ebay for $25.00 in fact I am pretty sure the final price was $29 and some change. Although I personally do not collect vintage items I absolutely love making these and selling them to someone that appreciates and enjoys this kind of work and style. Hopefully I can make more in the near future... hopefully.

3 X 3 Cards

Love the colors on these cards! And I was so excited when I found these chipboard stickers at one of our local craft stores on clearance for only .65 cents for a pack of 6! Their original price was $3.49, I knew they were perfect to make these cards, now to find a box I can make for these...

So Simple!

I was looking for a box to put some cards I made for a gift and I found a template to make this one, it is so simple to make and I love the color combo. The DP is from Imaginisce and the solid brown one is Bazzill, they work together so nicely.

Hope you are having a great week!

Crazy Weekend!

So sorry, but I had no time to complete any of my projects this weekend! Hopefully this coming week will be less crazy, so as I mentioned before I will post some projects I worked on last year, I am planning to make some more journals similar to these ones in the near future, just haven't decided if I am going to use the "vintage" look or not but you get the idea. For these ones I used a composition book or a generic blank journal and after covering the front with the designer paper of my choice then I start to add all the details (my favorite part), it is so much fun to add things that are unexpected like the small envelope and the "note" inside or the key, how about the hat pin or the altered bottle cap? and it all works together so nicely...

At the Farm...

The farm View from the field.
Tom working the land.

Hi there...
Wanted to share more pictures with you, I took these pictures yesterday at the farm of our
friends Tom & Sandy Giles, we had a wonderful time and ate too much! They have the funniest and most polite kids (Hey Guys!) And as you can see their place is so peaceful and beautiful...

Vintage?

Well... I didn't have the chance to finish a project I am working on, hopefully my son will allow me to do so tomorrow! So I decided to post some projects I worked on last year, I was selling these items on ebay and had quite a few followers and many of them requesting more things when my computer had enough! But I kept a lot of the pictures and I will post them here when I don't have something "new" to show you.
This one is an altered tin using vintage images of girls and some old postcards... and I must say this one was a hit! I was pretty pleased with this one myself, the old key gives it the perfect touch, it almost "feels" like something you could find inside an old trunk or maybe grandma's attic...

Still Thinking Winter!

Well ,you can see that I finally decided to make projects that are not blue! LOL, sorry I just love blue and usually end up using blue or aqua...
So I decided to add this cute little penguin to decorate my basket and I have to say this basket takes hardly any time to make and what a great birthday party favor it makes for a little girl's luau or any summer themed birthday party. The penguin came from a 12 x12 sheet of DP from Imaginisce (love that Company) I just punched the penguin image with my 1.75" circle punch, then a 2" punch for the pink circle and my Marvy Mega for the scallop.

Christmas in June...

Hello! Summer has not started here yet and I am not complaining! We have

another cold front coming on Thursday and it feels so nice outside... I can't

explain why, but I just feel happier when it's cold. So guess what I made? I

decided I was in the mood to make some Christmas crafts and here is what

I made, these make great stocking stuffers or if you belong to any kind of group

and you need to give a "little something" to other moms, teachers, etc, these are

just perfect.

So easy, just a small notepad (I get mine from a local print shop) and just cover

them with designer paper of your choice and embellish, not much to it.

Enjoy...

Gift Set...

I HAD to try this basket/box, what do you think? I love it... what else is new? LOL
So... First, we have a super easy box that I decided to decorate with Soft Sky
from SU! But that paper is a solid color, so I got my stamps out and you can
see how pretty it looks, a very simple background, it gives it a nice touch.
Second, we have a gift card holder. SUPER EASY and how nice it matches the
box, same paper SU! Soft Sky. I used the round corner punch for the flap.
Hope you all have a nice weekend and ENJOY!

I'm Hooked!

**Remember you can click on the pictures to make them larger**

I love making these boxes and of course had to try it in Kraft paper, Love the way
it looks... I printed the tag on my computer and then punched it with a 2" circle
punch, used inexpensive jute to give it a more natural look and done.

Now look at that cute bird! that graphic is jut too cute. I added the dots and text and
the result is a super cute card, that will definitely put a smile on whoever receives it.
Enjoy and have a beautiful day...
